Immersing, melting, stretching, breaking and freezing – Roos Meerman doesn’t shy away from anything for her research into the qualities of materials. She develops production methods that are controlled by natural phenomena. During her session she will bring no less than three projects to the table: Aera Fabrica, Flying Architect and Dynamorphosis. The leitmotiv is an ongoing investigation into the stretching of 3D printing boundaries, such as combining 3D printing with glassblowing. For Roos, the 3D printer is not a machine to an end, but a tool to make new shapes and objects possible.
